"Step by Step Up"
Motor Skill Development Goals
Younger Age Group (3-4 yrs):
Jump forward with both feet steadily and continuously.
Middle Age Group (4-5 yrs):
Cross-jump short distances with coordination and agility.
Older Age Group (5-6 yrs):
Perform alternating single and double-foot jumps in sequence, following game rules.
Game Play Instructions
Children follow a color-coded or numbered path from 1 to 7, jumping in a sequence that matches the game mode suited to their age group. They must land on either the same color or correct number space according to the pattern. A missed jump or incorrect sequence requires them to return to the start and try again—fostering focus, patience, and persistence.
Teaching & Guidance Strategies
Demonstrate First:
Show how to jump while calling out the color or number aloud. Encourage children to repeat this to reinforce memory and language development.
Number Sequence Practice:
Start by having the child stand next to number 1 and jump forward while counting aloud. Teachers can support with verbal counting to help build number order recognition.
Step-by-Step Training:
Begin with separate practice for color and number jumping. Once the child becomes confident, combine both elements for a complete parkour challenge.
Stride Confidently
Motor Skill Development Goals
Younger Age Group (3-4 yrs):
Learn to step over obstacles using both feet in coordination.
Middle Age Group (4-5 yrs):
Practice passing through using knee lifts and single-leg balance.
Older Age Group (5-6 yrs):
Complete the crossing with hand-foot coordination, avoiding use of hands.
Game Play Instructions
As part of the Little Kids Outdoor Parkour Course, children are challenged to step over two inverted "U"-shaped obstacles in a row to complete the level. If they touch the obstacles with their hands, they must return to the starting point and try again. In addition to jumping or stepping over, the structure can also be used for crawling games, adding variety to outdoor physical activities.
Teaching & Guidance Strategies
Start with isolated practice on a single obstacle to master timing and force. Begin with lower obstacles and increase difficulty gradually.
Enhance balance and posture control through single-leg stands or closed-eye standing drills to improve mid-air body control.
Amazing Hole
Motor Skill Development Goals
Younger Age Group (3-4 yrs):
Able to crawl naturally and smoothly under obstacles 65–70 cm high using hands and knees.
Middle Age Group (4-5 yrs):
Can side-crawl flexibly under 60 cm high barriers with coordinated hand-foot movement.
Older Age Group (5-6 yrs):
Capable of skillfully maneuvering through 50 cm high tunnels using alternating hand-foot crawling techniques.
Game Play Instructions
Children must crawl through the orange tunnel to complete the challenge. If they fail to pass through completely, they must return to the starting point and try again. This parkour obstacle promotes perseverance, coordination, and physical confidence.
Teaching & Guidance Strategies
Encourage children of different age groups to use age-appropriate crawling techniques.
Once they master the basic skills, introduce storytelling or role-playing scenarios to boost engagement.
Always guide children to crawl in the same direction to prevent head-on collisions and ensure safe play.
